A friend posted this on her FB. I didn’t know about any controversy surrounding this brand. Occasionally, we have given our dogs their L.I.T. sweet potato treats, and we may have tried one of their cans of wet food (we rarely give our boys wet food, though) or those little sausage things (maybe once).
But, the amount of complaints on the Consumer Affairs site is enough for me to never use any of this brand again. Too scary.
I just wanted to pass this along to all you pet lovers. Please do the same!

I just switched to this food a few weeks ago. Maggie has been pretty stomach sick for the past 12 hours, which may be unrelated, but makes me concerned that perhaps it is the food. In any case, I thought I’d reblog this so that if you are using this food you have all the information.

High-res Jennifer is a family friend and an incredible woman who has fought through her own struggle with MS to become someone who gives so much to others who are fighting with debilitating diseases or physical & mental ailments. How exciting to see her featured on such a wonderful blog and recognized for her amazing work. If you are an animal lover, you should definitely look into her books: Through a Dog’s Eyes and In a Dog’s Heart. Her work with Canine Assistants is inspiring and if you are looking for a cause where you can make a difference, this is a great one. Jennifer and her team raise brilliant dogs who grow up to be giving service animals and their stories will bring tears to your eyes.
Bravo, Hello Giggles for taking the time to recognize a great woman who is doing more than her share to give back to her community, both human and animal.

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
My mom let me borrow this book, with the promise that I would love it and I would cry. She did not lie. I cried within the first chapter. Then twice more before the book was over. The story is written from the perspective of a dog, who is reminiscing upon his life as he comes to the end of it. I know it sounds kind of strange, but it is fabulous. It will absolutely break your heart…especially if you are a pet lover. I recommend this to anyone. It’s a page turner and a very easy and enjoyable read!

I need this book.
